Maggie F. Keenan, Ed.D. - owner and principal of givingadvice Meet Maggie

Maggie F. Keenan, Ed.D. has never been the kind of business owner or long distance runner that is content being behind the leader. Instead, Maggie wakes up every morning driven by the desire to make a difference in the world, inspire others to do the same and to get her miles in.

As Owner & Chief Giving Strategist of givingadviceTMshe is dedicated to providing cause marketing and community involvement services to businesses. Through her work at givingadviceTM, Maggie guides businesses through a Six Step Giving IMPACT StrategyTM to provide a blueprint and giving strategy that is unique for each client.  Her focus and determination means that businesses can make stronger and more synergistic connections between their business and causes. Her clients are most attracted by her passion and vision for what she sees possible for their contribution to the world.  With an uncanny ability to connect ideas, people and causes, Maggie sees opportunities all around for anyone that desires to be a force for change.

Maggie is always ten steps ahead of the curve or  a "front runner", as she would tell you in runner speak, which is why she says we are facing one of the most dynamic yet turbulent times in the world.   Maggie sees this as an incredible opportunity for change and businesses can play a role in that change.  When philanthropy is integrated as a core business strategy it has a bigger impact for businesses and the world

Maggie often appears on numerous radio shows and teleseminars and is frequently interviewed by the media. She has been featured in MORE Magazine, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Washington Business Journal. Maggie is excited about the release of her book Small Businesses Give BIG: Why charitable giving is a great business strategy!

Maggie lives and works in Savannah, Georgia. She holds a Doctorate from the University of Georgia and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Temple University.  She's a member of the Inaugural Class of the Robert Hull Leadership Fellow of Southeastern Council of Foundations, and a Savannah Leadership Fellow.  An avid runner and successful entrepreneur, you can find Maggie running on the beach when she isn't in her office.
