Meet Maggie

Maggie F. Keenan, Ed.D. is the Owner & Chief Giving Strategist of givingadvice™. Dedicated to providing strategic philanthropy services to business and family foundations, Maggie holds a vision to make a profound difference in the world by putting her focus on the value of strategy and "impact". It is her Six Step Giving IMPACT Strategy™ model that moves giving beyond a 'good thing to do' to a 'great thing to do'. Her clients are most attracted by her passion and vision for what she sees possible for their contribution to the world.  With an uncanny ability to connect ideas, people and causes, she sees opportunities all around for anyone that desires to be a force for change. 

She holds a doctorate from the University of Georgia,and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and Temple University.  A member of the Inaugural Class of the Robert Hull Leadership Fellow of Southeastern Council of Foundations, and a Savannah Leadership Fellow, she is also the Founder of Savannah Women Connect, a professional business women's network.  In 2002, Maggie single-handedly initiated the building of a community foundation in St. Simon's Island, Georgia.  She lives in Savannah and is a long distance runner of nearly 35 years. So, when Maggie isn't in her office, you can find her running on the beach.
